Meet Our Trainers

Debra Ruggiero (Head Trainer)
I have been surrounded by the fitness industry for the past 10+ years and have been active in a wide range of keep-fit activities from a very young age. I was a ‘cali’ (calisthenic) girl for over 20 years, competing in Junior and Intermediate State teams, won a Graceful Girl competition and taught at several clubs in the Perth area.
I discovered that I love teaching Zumba classes to people like me, older but wanting to keep fit, healthy and active, and have been an active educator of Zumba Gold for many years.
I also discovered Y Striders (a fitness group for people aged 40 and upwards) and have been a Fitness Trainer with the club since 2010. I am passionate about educating the Y Striders members in the concepts surrounding fitness and mobility, and find it very rewarding helping them to achieve their individual goals while at the same time, increasing their interest in staying active.

Anita Albertini
My whole life I’ve always been involved in sport and physical fitness. Sport and fitness improves all aspects of our lives, which is why I love to help people make achievements they never thought they could! Through my involvement in the sporting industry I am inspired to help others seek the benefits of sport and fitness to live a happy and healthy lifestyle. Being able to see the smiling, happy faces on people when they are participating in sessions makes being a coach very rewarding and fulfilling.
I am new to Y Striders and have found it to be a very welcoming club, who encourage all members to try their best and achieve their goals.

Meet Our Trainers

 Natasha Thomas
My passion is Fitness! I see fitness as a way to improve all aspects of our lives. Something takes over us when we make achievements we never thought we could – from doing a push up on our toes to being able to run non-stop over a distance we never thought possible! I really love to see the faces on people during a session when they are shown how to exercise and reach new levels in their training. Self-discipline and focus is such a powerful tool and a beautiful thing to witness.
I am new to Y Striders and am impressed with the uniqueness of this club, the friendliness, self-discipline, focus and dedication of its members.
