Y Striders gathered at Bathers Beach again this New Years Eve to watch the sun disappear into the Indian Ocean for the last time in 2017. There was plenty of chatting, eating and drinking in a very relaxed and informal setting. Our attentions were distracted briefly when a rat was spotted darting in and out of the Kidogo building. After the sunset most folk went back to Eva and Brendon’s house for more chatting, eating, drinking and a bit of dancing. Numbers started to thin out a bit, however, a few hardy souls made it to midnight. No sooner had ‘Auld Lang Syne’ finished when the rest packed and headed home. Thanks to Eva and Brendon for inviting us to their home.
