My whole life I’ve always been involved in sport and physical fitness. Sport and fitness improves all aspects of our lives, which is why I love to help people make achievements they never thought they could! Through my involvement in the sporting industry I am inspired to help others seek the benefits of sport and fitness to live a happy and healthy lifestyle. Being able to see the smiling, happy faces on people when they are participating in sessions makes being a coach very rewarding and fulfilling.
I have found Y Striders to be a very welcoming club, encouraging all members to try their best and achieve their goals.

Cassy Newman
The sessions I run aim to be fun, educational and help members as much as possible to achieve their goals, in a safe and social environment. I enjoy Y Striders because the club is open to everyone, runners or walkers, and it is accepting of all new members. The atmosphere at the club is contagious as I am always leaving a session with a big smile on my face.

Patrick Tichelaar
At Y Striders, I aim to bring my expertise from a variety of different sports to encourage and improve participants’ fitness and strength while having fun amongst friends. Everyone at Y Striders tries their best in everything they do, creating a positive environment for fitness.

Angelo Gonzales
Growing up, sports and physical activity has always been a big part of my life. From playing team sports such as basketball and volleyball, to individual sports such as track and field. Transitioning into a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science, my passion for fitness grew exponentially and inspired me to inspire others to live a healthier lifestyle.
I have always believed that everyone deserves the opportunity to become the best and healthiest versions of themselves. At Y Striders, my aim is to bring the knowledge I have accumulated from my Bachelor degree and experience from the field to help members achieve their fitness goals, no matter how big or small; improving health and creating opportunities. I enjoy running sessions at Y Striders because not only is the club open to walkers, joggers and runners alike, the club radiates a tight knit, community atmosphere where members are supportive, positive and friendly which always makes me look forward to these sessions we offer.
