My whole life I’ve always been involved in sport and physical fitness. Sport and fitness improves all aspects of our lives, which is why I love to help people make achievements they never thought they could! Through my involvement in the sporting industry I am inspired to help others seek the benefits of sport and fitness to live a happy and healthy lifestyle. Being able to see the smiling, happy faces on people when they are participating in sessions makes being a coach very rewarding and fulfilling.

I have found Y Striders to be a very welcoming club, encouraging all members to try their best and achieve their goals.

Cassy Newman 

Physical activity and sport have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up I have always been one to try out every sport and give it my best effort. My aim at Y Striders is to bring my enthusiasm and passion to the club in order to inspire and motivate the members. Health is a large priority of mine and I love to learn more and more every day about nutrition and exercise, and share this information where I can.
The sessions I run aim to be fun, educational and help members as much as possible to achieve their goals, in a safe and social environment. I enjoy Y Striders because the club is open to everyone, runners or walkers, and it is accepting of all new members. The atmosphere at the club is contagious as I am always leaving a session with a big smile on my face.

Zoe Mackey

The thing that drives me everyday is my passion for health and fitness. I truly believe in the saying; when the body moves the mind follows. Taking care of ourselves using movement, nutrition and clean living is the way to keep us strong and healthy into our later years. There is a certain freedom that can be found within the form or structure of exercise that just makes us feel so good.

I have a particular interest in plant-based nutrition, modalities like Pilates and also rehabilitation. I have my certificate 4 in fitness and am always looking to further my skills to progress in the industry so I can deliver a high-quality service.

I love my “work” with Y Striders because I get to hang out with amazing, inspiring people who give it their all and don’t take themselves too seriously. The members are such a social group and there are always plenty of laughs to be had along the way, and that’s what life is about!

Our doors are always open to new members, and we would love any additions to our awesome group. Looking forward to meeting you soon.
